Located in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Grace Bible (aka Cowboy Country Church) is searching for their next Senior Pastor. This is an amazing opportunity for a pastor with the right gift mix and ministry experience, to shape and influence the church and the region in Southwestern Wisconsin. Cowboy Country is a non-denominational evangelical church located about one hour west of Madison, WI and 45 minutes north of Dubuque, IA.
Grace Bible is a congregation of diverse city and rural singles and families that span generations. With a rich legacy of ministry in the community, “giving a cup of cold water in Jesus’ name,” the church family is eager to expand their impact outside the walls of the church. Grace Bible is a family of warm-hearted people who have experienced the grace of God, and by that same grace, want to see others come to faith and grow strong in that faith.
This is a tremendous opportunity for a highly relational leader with a heart to reach others where they are and grow a vibrant and healthy church.
Life at Grace Bible is centered around prayer and a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a tangible love for their neighbors. They seek to foster a sweet and communal spirit, that builds fellowship and
companionship. They encourage each other to greater service and through various activities and ministries - with fun, sacrifice, and hard work - they desire to serve the community.
In 2006, a core of adults and their families had a vision to begin a new church in Mineral Point, where only 20% of the population attended church. While founded under the formal name of “Grace Bible Church,” the leadership embraced the opportunity to reach ranchers, farmers, horse lovers, and others, through the ministry name of “Cowboy Country Church.” The "Cowboy Country Church" aspect is today a midweek evening outreach ministry in an inviting venue, and culturally relevant music, and Gospel message. People throughout the region know the church and the distinctive architecture.
Over the years, Grace Bible has impacted thousands in Southwest Wisconsin through its numerous outreach ministries and events. While the Cowboy Church ministry focuses on events like
horsemanship classes and equestrian related activities, Grace Bible has several other prominent ministries which include Cowboy Camp for Kids (VBS), Survival Camp for teens, family community outreach, and BaseCamp USA for teens and young adults.
On 189 acres of beautiful rolling hills, winding river, and meadow, BaseCamp USA is a unique life skills program designed for young men (women’s programs are in the works) who choose to live courageously. Around the campfire with teammates, campers come to know the importance of shared experiences that create lasting memories, great friendships and life-long change.
Grace Bible is looking for a gifted leader and Spirit-led pastor with a vision to lead a congregation to reach out and preach the truth of the Gospel to both rural and townsfolk with love and encouragement. This leadership role is best suited for a gospel-driven leader who embraces those far from God as well as those struggling with their faith with intentional grace and compassion.
• Consistent biblical preaching and teaching for weekly worship that inspires hope.
• Teaching scriptural truths through effective, inspiring, challenging, and culturally relevant communication.
• Collaborate in planning the worship experience to provide vibrant worship across multiple generations.
• Leading by example and equipping the congregation for community outreach and evangelism.
• Reaching and engaging young families while nurturing the previous generation through healthy relationships.
• Developing the next generation of leaders for the church.
• In partnership with the Elder Board, establish goals and strategies that carry out the vision and direction of the church.
• Establish and organize pastoral care within the congregation.
