Monument Hill Church, located outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is searching for a Pastor.
Monument Hill Church exists to glorify God by enjoying Him forever as they follow Jesus as His disciples. The Pastor is responsible for coming alongside the members with compassionate care, bringing Gospel-centered messages of encouragement and Biblical truth, and joining the elder board in overseeing the life of the church. The Pastor will benefit from serving with a gifted and committed leadership team in leading church-wide ministries.
THE CHURCH
Monument Hill Church began in 1959 as a church plant of the First Southern Baptist Church of Colorado Springs. With the continued growth of the surrounding community, the church also grew and expanded its ministry. Over 200 currently gather for worship on Sunday mornings. In 1994 they moved into their current building with a view of Pikes Peak, great visibility just off Interstate 25, and room to expand on their acreage.
With a foundation of the Southern Baptist Convention, they affirm their vision to grow as a healthy, Spirit-led church for the glory of God and the joy of all people by treasuring Jesus Christ above all. They effectively practice the discipline of welcoming visitors so that everyone who attends the worship service leaves feeling known, encouraged, and cared for in their lives. Their worship experience entails a family-friendly atmosphere and a vibrant celebration of Christ. Many in the church have served in the military with a high percentage from the Air Force Academy and Fort Carson. They bring a dedicated and varied experience, albeit transitory. The presence of so many cadets creates an opportunity to reach the world as they take future assignments
THE POSITION
Monument Hill Church Pastor will guide the church into the next chapter of ministry.
The Pastor is responsible for coming alongside the members with compassionate care, bringing Gospel-centered messages of encouragement and Biblical truth, and joining the elder board in overseeing the life of the church. The Pastor builds trust in relationship with the elders and members of the church by displaying humility and Christ-like integrity. Devoted to God’s Word, he will lead the members in growing deeply with Christ and finding their place of ministry in the life and mission of the church.
Expected Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000

THE COMMUNITY AND MISSION FIELD
Located just off Interstate 25, Monument Hill Church sits atop the Palmer Divide just north of Colorado Springs and adjacent to the Air Force Academy. Nearby are numerous ministries including the headquarters of the Navigators, Focus on the Family, Compassion International, David C. Cook, and Young Life. The Rocky Mountains rise dramatically to the west with the summit of Pikes Peak visible as it extends up 14,115 feet above sea level. The plain region of the US stretches out to the east. Thus, the surrounding area is a recreational playground for hiking, fishing, skiing, boating, and climbing.
