Director of Local Outreach - Colorado Community Church

Colorado Community Church has built a culture that is intentionally multi-generational, multicultural and interdenominational, recognizing that there are unique needs across the many stages of life but that the body is strongest when each part is present and sharing their gifts with one another. 


In December 2019, they will move into their new facility in Aurora, Colorado – an eastern suburb in the Denver-Metro area. This facility is just one mile west of their present location and will include a 1650 seat Worship Center, a 200 seat Chapel and ample space for Children’s Ministry and Youth. In addition, they lease a 5,000 s/f building which serves as the More Life Community Center.


As CCC makes the move to their new campus, the Director of Local Outreach & More Life Community Center will play an integral role as an entrepreneurial leader, shepherding Staff and recruiting, training, and deploying multiple teams of volunteers to reach beyond the walls of the church and impact the local community. This next season of ministry, anchored by the new campus and increased visibility, positions the church for greater impact as they continue to be a church that transforms their city and beyond by connecting people to Christ, Community and Calling!









The Director of Local Outreach & More Life Community Center is a part of and provides oversight to our Community Involvement Zone.  This person oversees our zone’s efforts to lead people to serve the needs of our community and serves as the Director of our More Life Community Center.  This position reports to the Executive Pastor.  This is a full-time, salaried, zone-director level position with benefits.







Zone Leadership – Provide leadership to the Community Involvement Zone positions, Pastor of Recovery Ministries and Pastor of OutServing Ministries.


Department Leadership – Develop an annual department strategic plan and budget to accomplish the departments overall vision and ministry objectives.


More Life Community Center

  • Develop and oversee this venue to help CCC extend its worship by identifying and meeting the practical needs of our Congregation and Local Community. 

  • Involve the congregation’s skills and vision in the development of the services offered. 

  • Ensure the More Life Community Center upholds the dignity of each individual and family it seeks to serve through appropriate staff training and operating practices. 

  • Develop strategic partnerships with local authorities, businesses, and public services in meeting community needs.  

  • Work closely with Community Involvement events and programs to most effectively mobilize our congregation in service to our local community


Shepherding – Share the pastoral shepherding of the congregation by participation in the Pastor of the Day and Emergency Pastor on Call rotations as well as performing weddings and funerals, administering the Compassion Fund, and making hospital visits.







  • A Christ honoring life marked by personal holiness, prayer, bible study, spiritual and emotional maturity, and increasing dependence on the Holy Spirit

  • He/She has strong organizational and administrative skills and can multi-task various ministry responsibilities

  • Kingdom-minded in their approach to ministry

  • Proven skill in equipping and releasing leaders into ministry (Ephesians 4:16)

  • Our “staff expert” on our local community – knowledgeable of community leaders, organizations, businesses and goals

  • Comfortable in interdenominational and multicultural settings

  • Fully agrees with and champions CCC’s Calling, Convictions, and Statement of Faith

  • Strives for excellence in life and work duties
